Good Afternoon Summer League Families!

We are excited to wrap up our inaugural Sioux Falls Summer Swim League season with our City Championship Meet at Kuehn Park (2309 S. Kuehn Park Rd)!

Thank you to all of our swimmers and families for making this first season such a success. Over the past several weeks, we've watched swimmers gain confidence, improve their skills, make new friends, and experience the excitement of racing. We couldn't be more proud of everything they have accomplished, and we're excited to continue building on that momentum this fall.

Last Practices this week

We will have normal practices this week at Kuehn and at EmBe.

City Championship Meet 7/28

Our championship meet will be run similarly to our first meet, with more spread-out age groups and diving starts for the Freestyle and Breaststroke events.

Volunteers are needed, please sign up as we want 2 Timers per lane. https://siouxfalls.swimtopia.com/swim_meets

Schedule

• 5:30 PM – Warm-up
• 6:00 PM – Meet begins
• Approximately 7:00 PM – Meet concludes

Because of the unique dimensions of the Kuehn Park pool, race distances will be as follows:

• 25-yard events: One length from the diving boards to the finish.
• 50-yard events: One full length from the deep end to the shallow end.

Looking Ahead to Fall League

As many of you have heard, EmBe's aquatics facility will be closing on September 1. While this does require us to make some adjustments to our Fall League plans, our priority is providing opportunities for every swimmer who wants to continue swimming this fall.

We will share updated practice information as soon as those details are finalized, and please catch me on the pool deck if you have any questions!

Fall League registration will open on August 1 through our website at siouxfalls.swimtopia.com, using the same registration process as this summer. You will not need to do an evaluation on August 25th.

Practice times will most likely be adjusted due to the space.

We hope you'll continue the journey with us this fall. The progress we've seen this summer is just the beginning, and we're excited to keep helping our swimmers grow in confidence, technique, and their love for the sport.
